Through all my wandering ways, and all my doddering days, I’d never beheld such splendour, such shimmering shining sun. The rain drops dripped, down green gleaming grass, Veiled ‘neath the valley and vale laid the violets. The mist made way and my mouth marvelled, at the monstrous mountain’s view; The earth’s effervescence, the enchanting evergreens, The woods and the willows, the whistling wild winds. I cried at this creation, and wept in wide wonder. This pleasing nature’s plain, hidden in the heart of Plateau, The lush leaves lived, my heart leapt; That day, I fell in love.
