Look Deep Into My Eyes

galaxies and starlight mints
deep eyes and amorous vortices
underwater tresses current-like
the dry ringlets that toss upon a shore

oil in a batter bowl
a pug with a tight-wound tail
the bath that drains down its mysterious hole
a cockeyed boat, pitching sail

dizzy with the day, with love
clouds high aloft at far remove
doodles on marginal ennui
the space that collapses between you and me
